Fond Greetings:
I am 61-years-old. 27 October 1947. I spent three years in the Vietnam War. I have traveled extensively around America. I want to put in a raft at Khartoum in the Sudan where the Blue and White Niles meet, and float up to Cairo.
I have been writing poetry for over 35 years, and have been published in rags around the country, most notably a publication in Berkeley, California called "Poetalk". I hold a bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in English grammar. I live in Nashville, Tennessee, but I am a deep water sailor -- landlocked in the southeast.
I am a master carpenter, woodcarver, wood lathe turner, cabinetmaker, managed and cooked in three natural foods restaurants in California, Colorado, and Massachusetts.
I will soon be teaching English as a second language in Nashville.
I read and write daily. So many books, and so little time.
I live with Phyllis Anne, a wonderful woman whom I dearly love.
I love red wine and good food. My garden this year is the 35th organic garden I have raised. It is in the back yard, and takes up most of it. I have never understood why people would rather have a lawn than tilling it up to grow food in.
I am neither a republican or democrat; I am radical in my political stance.
I make quilts in the winter when it too cold to work in the wood shop in the garage.
I would like to see the world at peace before I die, and that is now closer than it was when I was younger.
I listen to classical music mostly, but I love Dylan, Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Keith Jarrett, etc., but Mozart is my all time favourite. I go to the Nashville Symphony when I have the opportunity; they are really quite a wonderful bunch of musicians.
There is more that I cannot think of at the moment, but this is more about me than there was a few minutes ago in this profile.
My email is: carmelbeach@rocketmail.com
Ciao,
Victor
